6th Man Alert

I know you all were tuned in the last couple nites you had 2 feel that energy. I mean we did so many things right, but the few things we did wrong are what we have 2 key in on. What yall think? All your comments gave me life I needed, sometimes I know the crowd is there, but I don't think they know how important they are. It would be cool 2 look in the crowd and see everyone with 6th man signs and shirts screaming and chantin lets go nuggets lets go. Hahaha I mean you guys r actually that important, we need you. It brings the best out of us. This applies 4 you other cities 2 not just denver. We don't need 2 fight but competition with sportsmanship is wonderful. I have learned a lot in my brief intro 2 this league and I love 2 hear what everyopne thinks cuz it makes the game what it is. I hope you enjoy your holidays cuz it is very important 2 cherish them, life is short may god bless Sean Taylor's family, Darrent Williams family and the many others who will be missing loves ones this xmas. Well enough talkin I'm bout 2 kick into gear got 2 get a one game win streak goin that's my motto, one game at a time.

We wouldn't be there supporting the Nuggets if it wasn't for your effort and commitment as a team and individually to win it all. I have been a Nugget fan since I can remember, through Mt. Mutombo & the Phonse, Nick the Quick, and the 17 win season. I have never been so excited to watch Nuggets games as I have been the past 4+ years, and I just wanted to thank you (among others) for bringing this team back to relevancy. You, Camby, K-Mart, A.I., Najera, Kleiza, JR, A.C., Chucky, Kuba, Nene, Bobby Jones, and McCoy have given us Nugget fans another great year of basketball to look forward to, thank you. That was a great game in Portland, it just didn't end the way we had all hoped, keep your head up though, and know that the 6th man is ALWAYS there for you guys. GO NUGGETS!

Like everyone else said... that 2OT vs. Houston was AMAZING! That shot by Carter, WOW! I really like the 6th man sign idea, especially since I have been looking for a sign to bring to the next game I'll be at. I admire how much you love your fans Melo. Man, when you have your intensity level up that high, that's what gets things done. Don't drop that intensity til the final buzzer. Don't let your teammates drop that intensity level, and if it feels like they are just turn it up again.
Outlaw felt like Camby out there in Portland...just gotta fake some more and go up and under like Carter with Houston. Yeah.....they want to guard you guys so bad they're jumping at the chance. Let 'em jump.
Us fans are yellin' at the tv when things are lookin' lazy out there. Not sure if you can hear that. When you guys are doin' it right, we're thinking about the playoffs and the Nuggets making it past the second round and going as far as you want.

this is coming from your number 1 fan i would like to tell you that you are playing the best ball in your career i think. i think your defense is very very goodyou said at the beginning of this season you wanted to make the defenseive first team and the way your playing you will, you guys are also playing team ball ,when you were having that really bad shooting streak i never had a doubt that you would come back the last three games you've had a double double i think thats wounderful you could adverage a double double a game though lose to portland the other night you did all that you could do but all of your big guys were out if you had a defensive guy down low you guys would of won that game easy hos your family i hope you guys are doing really well i know its big having your first x-maswith your baby, well best wishes to your whole family have a blessed holidays

Hi Melo ive seen almost all of your games and im am a big fan of A.I and you.I have seen that everytime you drive to the basket some times you force the shot and have almost all defenders around you.So what im saying is that i see atkins, carter najera for example open in the 3 point line so you should pass it outside instead of forcing the shot because it affects the team and team fans like me....DENVER GIVE US A CHAMPIONSHIP PLEASE!!!!! Ahhhh PORTLAND the next NBA dynasty!!! It may not officaly start for another 2 years but you know its coming and so does everyone else. The blazers will be dominate the nba for a 10 year run, to bad for you thats going to be your prime. If I were you I would look to switch divisions quickly before the big OOOden gets back. Good luck Melo this will be your last year to have a shot at winning the division or else you get traded.

When he gets back, and the Blazers play the Nuggets again, Nene is gonna walk up and down Oden! The kid is just too young to be playin with all these veterans. He's just a poodle runnin with all the big dogs. The Blazers are however gonna leave a dynasty...of picking the number one draft pick, and not do jack with him! lol

    Oden is too young to be in the NBA? Then how do you explain Bynum? I believe he entered the league at age 17. Oden will be 20 by the time he starts playing with the Blazers next season. Maybe you didn't watch him in college? The man is raw regardless of his age.

You guys fought so hard against Sacramento! Congratulations to Kleiza! That is exactly what we needed. Contribution from the rest of the team. It was so great to see the whole Nugget team playing together! Melo, the fans are always with you. At the Pepsi Center or not, they always are. I for one have not missed a single game yet on tv! I already have tix for the game after Christmas, and the game in march against San Antonio!, 4 rows up! We're with you all th way. Trust me, even though the Center isn't always sold out, people still watch the games. It seems people just wait til the end of the season to come to the games. They don't understand the importance of mid-season, which is just as important as post season. Anywayz, the whole team deserves to get voted ino the all star game! You truly are champs. I played 6th man here tonight. Never gave up hope on winning the game against the Kings. Ya'll played well together as a team and it showed in the fight to come back in that 4th quarter. It was a well needed win for ya'll.

I would just like to say that we need players like you, the ones that really care about the fans and know that we are here for you and the team, no matter if you win or lose you wont lose your fans!!! I have been a fan of the Nuggets and you since I was 13 I am now 18 N still lovin the game. I might be a female but I yell at the refs. through the TV just like everyone else. I def. think that you are the best, and only you can stop you. I also think its amazing how you and A.I. work together, actually along time ago I got the chance to meet his sister and didnt know it until a year later, and they all have a BIG heart. I like how you been playin this week man. Im glad to see you got over that FG% slump. I don't know who or what i was seeing about 5 games ago haha. But im glad to see you back. Dont worry wit it man. Every good superstar has that "bad" streak throughout his career. I mean, your young, and you put veteran numbers up.

Like my man said below me, when you do take it to the basket, you'll have a double team maybe even a triple team on you. I mean hell, your CARMELO ANTHONY. They have to double team you. You need to dish it out to ya boy A.I. for a finish, or if not A.I., he'll know what to do. He should pass it back, because you know they are gonna double team him as well.

You guys have to come up with some guard-forward plays, you and A.I. ... I'm the biggest Denver Nuggets fan, I'm reppin Denver here in Monroe, Louisiana hahaha.. People be hatin on yall man...

But look. You and A.I. and Camby have to get this trio thing to work. Because as we know, Denver is mainly losing due to a third-man crisis (as far as scoring goes). Look at any team who has a successful scoring trio... They are championship bound. Celtics, Magic, Suns, Spurs, Mavs, etc...

I mean, damn, when two players post 34 points on the board, and still lose? There's a major problem here.

You and A.I. need to work some plays between each other, because you know both of you are double-team, even triple team (if in paint) threats against any squad. Camby always does his job, and I love the fact this man brings it all on the court every game. I been watchin him and A.I. since i was 7 years old, and 11 years later they still remain my favorite players.

Currently, you are my favorite Small Forward. And I wanna see my favorite players Dominate the game the way you should. I get mad when it looks like you guys are playing a pick-up game, instead of an organized basketball game.

KEEP YA HEADS IN THE GAME, AND LETS GET THAT RING. IM GLAD TO SEE IVERSON SIGN A 6 YEAR DEAL, YOUR YOUNG. HE GETS YOUNGER EVERY YEAR. CAMBY HAS SOME YEARS TO GO, ALONG WITH NENE'S BEASTLY SELF. KENYON (healthy) IS A MONSTER, AND YOU HAVE STEVEN HUNTER. A GREAT BACKUP CENTER.

Yo what's up melo. Big ups Melo On the recent player of the week award. TRUE STORY. It is such a big honor. I was just reading the 6th man alert and wanted to comment on it. I am very glad to see the team getting the other players involved. I mean, the talent that we have coming off the bench and the talent that we have as a whole, there should be more wins like this. It's kinda expected for us to pull out wins like this. I see that you are asking for more of our fans to participate and attend games. Well MELO, I have asked many people why haven't they attended any games this year, if not, and what do they think of the team so far this year. I couldn't believe the answers I got. Well first I'm going to start out by saying that I respect your game 100% of the time that you are on the hardwood. But other fans are saying that when you play the game, HERE IN DENVER, that you play as if you don't have the heart to be HERE IN DENVER. It's like when you first came into the league you were on fire and you can almost see in your game that you wanted to win and would do whatever you had to, to win the game. Now many fans say that now your game is questionable because you dont have the desire to be here in denver. This is YOUR team MELO. And with the players that you have surrounding you, there is no reason that denver shouldn't be 20-6 right now. So basically what I am saying is that to pack out an arena on any giving night, which I defnitely think that you can do. I think you have to show us Denver fans that you want us there. .....

I was tuned, the energy was there, but yall r slowly becoming the "cardiac kids" I say that because the games of late have been 2 close 2 watch in the final minutes. However, I luv the wins regardless of how we get them. I think it is a must that the team itself key n on perimeter shooters. As proven by L.K. an open shot just shouldn't if at all possible, happen. It kinda looks bad when U see shooters being so open that they have time to think about it. U, on the other hand can just keep doing what U r doing....your game doesn't look broken at all 2 me so......why try 2 fix it, just go for what U know right now. What U think? Its always good 2 know U r appreciated, and once again U show the "true U" as a person and athelete by showing your appreciation. THANKS. U don't seem 2 b trying 2 b like anybody but Melo and being Melo is what's getting it done for U right now...b U and let everybody else b everybody else. Player of the week huh...Wow...33.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, that's pretty awesome, bet U got Marcus shaking n his Nikes or whatever....U r 2nd n rebounding. Maybe 1 nite U will look n2 the crowd and see those 6th man signs and shirts.....who knows....maybe. Whereas the fans may mean a lot 2 U and the Nuggets... by the same token, U and the Nuggets mean a lot 2 your fans. The hollidays r the times U miss your loved ones the most and as U said we have 2 cherish those that we have right now n the present so that if they r no longer with us n the future we have these times to reflect on. Hey kiddo. I'm a former kings staffer and I saw you the other day at Arco when I was back for a holday visit. I remember feeling a little disappointed in the play that day... the infamous kings 4th quarter drop and all that, but also a little disappointed in the nuggets. I wanted to see the fire and I didn't think much was happening for al lthe hype you guys get, and I was wishing both K-marts could play so I could see the teams matched up a little more truely. So just as I was thinking that you weren't all that much to speak of, I looked up and saw that you were at 26 pts... and I kept thinking, when did that happen? I spent the last few days telling people I think you are a savage (in a good way) and that I want to keep a closer eye on your game and your season. I'm more impressed when a player can quietly go to work on a team than when someone steals the show. Showboating isn't for team sports in my opinion, and for a man with so much hype around you, I was impressed as much with you restraint as I was with your skill. I've got a lot of opinions and I could break down what I think y'all need to work on, but I'm not trying to be your coach and I'll leave that to those more capable than myself. Just keep going to work. Y'all will get there. And this girl will be watching. I just bought tickets to the game at Golden State and I can't wait to see what you make happen on friday!

To NoObstacle92: On the Contrary, there is little hype about this team right now compared to others like the Celts, Spurs, Lakers, Blazers etc. Also Just in case you didn't notice, our other forward in Nene was out too! Fire? Name one team that has fire every single time they play? My point being that that was just one game, on the road, and undermanned.

MELO: Anyway, onto the positive, MELO 4th TRIPLE DOUBLE!! WHHATTT!!?? MAN MELO YOU ARE PROVING TO CHARLES BARKLEY (used to really like him but he has been saying the dumbest things about you and AI) THAT YOU ARE A SUPERSTAR!!   I didn't express the hype as being relative to any other team. And the teams that recieve hype in a given area often differ based on how those teams have matched up in the past. No one seriously discusses the Suns or Celtics in Sacramento because it is already assumed that they will beat our injury laden Kings team. And their vetran heavy teams are not as significant to the future of our rebuliding teams as teams involving outher young talent such as Carmelo. Forgive me for not reciting game notes and stating every player that was out of the line up on both teams. That said, my intention was not to insult any team, I was just being honest about my thought process at the time and I had expected a nuggets blow out, didn't see one, and had wondered how the K-marts would have effected the match up. Obviously Kings fans are going to claim that Kevin would have pulled of a purple victory, while nuggets fans are going to point out that the presence of their K-mart and Nene would have kept the victory for the team in baby blue. I don't really care what fans of either team hypothesize, I just bought a ticket and would have liked to see a fully staffed match play out. That is all. I didn't say my thought process was right or thorough or better than someone elses. I just kept real about how it happened. If you can't realize that the comment was a begrudging comment from an opposing fan who can't help but recognize a boy has something special when she sees it, that is your own problem. Get off you high horse and don't waste my time or yours belittling my comments. Thanks.

Melo, I was thinking the same thing. Our crowd just ain't rowdy enough, man! I mean, I know we all support you guys, but our crowd needs to SHOW the appreciation. I know if I could afford it, I would be going crazy at every game. But I've been a fan since day 1, so maybe its different!

Carmelo, I thing you guys are ready to go to the next level as soon as you(the team) can get J.R. on track. He's the key to a Denver championship, I feel. If he can't make practice and meetings on time, someone needs to go pick him up. The older guys needs to step up. That's called "team-work".
