Yo Yardbarkers!
So here goes my first time in the blog world. This will be a spot for me to give it to you straight from the source. Nothing's off the table. I'll cover the Nuggets, the USA team, life in Denver, what's up in Baltimore, my record label KrossOver, whatever comes to mind. I'll start by catching you up on my summer and my outlook of this upcoming season. I'll start with the annual H.O.O.D. Movement 3 on 3 tournament. It really was an exciting time for everyone who attended the event. 106th & Park host Rosci was there, and Big Tigger came through to contribute a little laughter to the Movement. The teamwork of everyone involved in helping to teach the youth to control their own destiny taught me something. This helped me to gear up for a tremendous summer. Between the love of my family in Bmore and the ovations at Allen Iverson's softball game, it was a little tough to leave for training. The FIBA games were filled with incredible energy, from the die-hard fans to the unforgettable plays and chemistry. With our hard work and chemistry, team USA was able to defend our home court, capturing the gold medal. Yes I did say GOLD. We did all of this without my boy Dwade, who will be back next summer. You read it here first: we are going to take care of business next year in Beijing. All of this made up or rather added to the new and resurgent Melo. Before kickin into gear of training camp, I couldn't just leave the love of the fans, and with Yao and Nash doing their charity game it was only fitting that I attend the affair in China. One of my major thrills was visiting the Great Wall of China. 3 letters: WOW!! China is an incredible place and I can't wait to get back there next summer. I felt proud to represent not just America, but people across the world who support me. I appreciate the love. As for training camp, it's back to work, see this is where the journey begins, and with a full roster I'm strapping on the hard helmet and expect the rest of my family to do so, see we will train, fight, lose and win, together. God willing we stay healthy, in the meaning of "The Movement" (we are holding our own destiny). Stay tuned. For now go Rockies! And remember: Bmore!

Welcome to the Yard! I'm a die hard Syracuse fan and I have to say I wish we could still watch you in the Dome. However, the Cuse Nation will never forget that National Championship year -- unbelievable. I also admire you for the generous donation you made to Syracuse. It's always nice to see past players give back in several ways. Anyhow, tear it up this year and I hope you can continue your momentum you experienced with Team USA. I look forward to watching you this year.
Good luck from Federal Hill in Bmore!!!!

First of all, congratulations on the gold medal, it was clear watching the games that you had worked very hard and were in terrific shape for the World Championship. You really deserved that gold medal. I can't wait for the season to kick off, only four more days, I am feeling 60 wins this year for sure. But most of all I just wanted to thank you, as a Nugget fan for my whole life, for bringing basketball popularity back to the Denver area. My dream growing up was to go to a Nuggets game where it was sold out, where the fans were excited to see you guys play, where a Nuggets game actually mattered to other people besides just me. And because of your help, and the other teammates help, you help me achieve that dream. So thank you, we will all be cheering you guys on for every game this season, and good luck. Congratulations on starting a beautiful family as well, good for you Carmelo.

What's the most days you have played basketball in one year? Of course it would be easier to count the number of days you did not play. Thank you for helping out your alamater. The Cuse will always love you. Did you like Varsity or Cosmos pizza? I can't wait to see you play in Beijing. What food did you like?

p.s. Keep the defensive pressure on your opponent always. If you do, you will join Jordan and Pippen as one of The Greatest NBA Players Ever (I'm talking Hall of Fame).
Best Regards Melo!
