Justin Jefferson has a solid ‘3-word’ reaction to Anthony Edwards’ game-winning performance against the Nuggets in Conference semifinals

When a star as elite as Justin Jefferson compliments someone, it holds great gravity. That someone happens to be none other than Minnesota Timberwolves’s star Anthony Edwards after the stellar victory of his team.

Edwards appears to be in the top headlines across the country after he scored a playoff career-high of 43 points on a 17 of 29 shooting in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs, against the Denver Nuggets. With a 106-99 victory, he led the Timberwolves to qualify for the next round. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal in the game.

Recognizing the young basketball superstar, Jefferson gave a three-word reaction to Edwards’ game-winning performance, on Instagram– ignoring the competition he is bringing for the superstar position in Minneapolis.

You is crazyyyyy, ” wrote the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver on the Instagram story, tagging Edwards’ official Instagram handle.

With this 43-point score, Edwards has established his name in history as the second basketball player to have back-to-back games of 40-plus points at the young age of 22 or less. Late Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is the first, in NBA history, to do so.

Vikings hit pause on Justin Jefferson’s contract talks

The Vikings’ star wideout is entering the final year of his rookie deal with the franchise. However, the Vikings have decided to pause the contract negotiation talks for some time because of the NFL draft requiring the main focus.

Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said last month, that both parties are willing to formulate a satisfactory deal. And at the franchise wants to give the negotiation proper time and attention, they desire to settle it after the conclusion of the NFL drafts.

We continue to have great dialogue with their representatives. The process is still ongoing. We did say, 'Hey, [let's pause] a couple days.' The draft's coming. They have players they represent. We have our process. said GM Adofo-Mensah

Interestingly, the contract talks have been in motion for more than a year, as it was kept on hold during the 2023 regular season and resumed in the 2024 offseason. So far, it has been productive however, looking at how hefty the NFL teams are playing their wide receivers, the Vikings would have to come up with something big for a star like Jefferson.
