Duke vs. Clemson: The third-ranked Blue Devils traveled down to South Carolina and swept a three-game series against the #19 Tigers. The bats were alive in the first game of the series with Duke winning 13-9. Kelly Torres was 3-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Aminah Vega hit a grand slam in the sixth inning, and Claire Davidson hit a three-run bomb in the seventh for Duke. Alia Logoleo hit a 2-run home run for Clemson in the game. Davidson hit another three-run home run a day later with Duke pulling out a 4-3 victory. Ana Gold scored the go-ahead run on a Clemson throwing error in the top of the ninth, and pitcher Lillie Walker locked up the win with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth. In game 3, Cassidy Curd and Jala Wright combined to only give up one run on five hits in the Blue Devils 6-1 victory. Curd pitched four shutout innings, striking out six and giving up just three hits. Wright gave up one run and two hits while striking out three in three innings. Davidson remained hot, going 3-4 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored.
