Mt. Bachelor, OR, is joining the masses of resorts switching operations due to the changing season. In other words, spring operations go into effect Monday, April 22nd.

However, the end is not near. Mt. Bachelor plans to be open for skiing and riding through Memorial Day weekend, conditions permitting. See below.

The resort's spring operating hours go into effect on Monday, April 22nd. Their lifts are scheduled to spin from 8:30am - 1:30pm.

Monday, April 22, Sunrise and Pine Marten Lodge will close for the season. Sunrise lift and all beginner lifts will close.

Northwest and Cloudchaser lifts will close on April 29th. Pine Marten, Skyliner, and Summit will spin daily, until Mt. Bachelor's scheduled Closing Day on May 26th.

The acreage slowly lessens as the end of the season draws closer. For the first three weeks of April, there have been 4,323 acres open. From April 22nd-28th, there will be 4,200 acres open, and from April 29th to May 26th there will be 1,500 acres open.

Subaru Winterfest recently occurred on April 12th-14th, and the RendezVan Festival is promptly approaching on May 2nd until May 5th.

The RendezVan Festival is described as a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates Mt. Bachelor's community of RVers, campers, and van-lifers who make the annual pilgrimage to Mt. Bachelor in the springtime.

The festival headliners include Company Grand Saint Motel and The Floozies, with opening acts by Billy & The Box Kid, The Dip and Robert DeLong.

Just because warmer weather is upon us, does not mean we have to shed our skis just yet. Especially not at Mt. Bachelor.
